W9HT/VP9 on the air from Bermuda October 17-20 on HF and 6m

Bermuda is on the bands this weekend. Josh, W9HT, is signing W9HT/VP9 from October 17 to 20, 2026, with activity on HF and 6 meters using SSB, CW and FT8.

This is a return trip. Josh operated from Bermuda in 2019 and again in 2024, with VP9GE listed as the QTH. Bermuda counts as its own DXCC entity, and from much of the US it is a fairly short path, so it is a good chance for newer operators to log a new one or fill in band and mode slots. The 6 meter activity is worth watching for anyone chasing that band.

To work him, listen across the HF bands and 6 meters during the October 17-20 window. Running FT8 alongside SSB and CW gives modest stations a realistic shot even if conditions are marginal. No specific frequencies or operating times were announced, so check the DX spotting networks for where he is active.
