About this data
Built from the current text of 47 CFR §§97.301 (bands by class), 97.303 (sharing), 97.305 (emissions), 97.307 (emission standards) and 97.313 (power), as published in the eCFR. It covers stations in ITU Region 2: the 48 states, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
What's not modelled: CEPT/IARP reciprocal permits, the §97.307(f) emission-quality standards, and station-specific sharing limits in §97.303 (for example the 70 cm “Line A” and military-area power limits, the 33 cm White Sands and Colorado/Wyoming exclusions). Those are noted on the segments they affect. CW is allowed anywhere you have privileges (§97.305(a)), and §97.313(a) always applies: use the minimum power necessary.
Recent changes included: HF data symbol-rate limits replaced by a 2.8 kHz bandwidth limit (88 FR 85126, effective Jan 8, 2024), and the new 60 m band 5.3515–5.3665 MHz at 9.15 W ERP alongside the four 100 W ERP channels (91 FR 1405, effective Feb 13, 2026).
